Engine Room Simulator Courses

Engine Room Simulator – Operational Level – MEO CLASS IV (ERS-O)

The ERS-O course covers the training recommended in the IMO Model Course 2.07 and fulfils the simulator training requirement for Engineering officers at the Operational Level, specified in Table A-III/1 of the STCW Code as amended. The simulator course provides the required knowledge and skills to maintain an effective engineering watch and safely operate, and monitor a ship’s propulsion plant and associated machinery.

Eligible Documents : Valid COC, Seaman’s discharge book, International Passport, 2 passport photos.

Initial course fee : ₦100,000.00

Engine Room Simulator -Management Level -MEO CLASS II

The ERS-M course covers the training recommended in the IMO Model Course 2.07 and fulfils the simulator training requirement for Second Engineer Officers at the Management Level, specified in Table A-III/2 of the STCW Code as amended. The simulator course provides the required knowledge and skills to maintain an effective engineering watch and safely operate, monitor and supervise ship’s propulsion plant and associated machinery, both in normal and emergency situations. The course uses high-fidelity, dynamic simulators to provide hands-on experience, focusing on leadership, teamwork, resource management, and troubleshooting to ensure safe and efficient engine operation.

Initial course fee : ₦200,000.00

Engine Room Resource Management

At Sealearn, we train engine room personnel to effectively plan and make decisions using the resources available on board. Our programs utilize the Full Mission Engine Room Simulator to provide hands-on training in Engine Room Team Management. Through a blend of team-building workshops and practical exercises on the full mission simulator, participants develop essential skills in planning, task execution, and decision-making—especially in challenging shipboard situations.
