Human Element And Leadership Courses

At SeaLearn Academy, the Human Element & Leadership (Operational Level) course develops leadership, teamwork, and decision-making skills for seafarers at the operational level. It focuses on human factors affecting safety and performance, helping participants manage tasks effectively while promoting cooperation and accountability. Through theory and practical exercises, trainees build skills in stress management, communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making. The course equips officers to contribute confidently to safe and efficient vessel operations in line with STCW requirements.
Eligible Documents : Valid COC, Seaman’s discharge book, International Passport, 2 passport photos.

Initial course fee : ₦100,000.00

Duration : 3 days

This course gives officers the knowledge, skills and understanding to efficiently lead a crew, control the operation of the ship and care for persons on board ship at the management level. This Management Level course is designed to comply with the requirements as set out in the STCW mandatory training requirements set out in Tables A-II/2 and AIII/2 of the STCW convention and code. The course covers the training requirements mentioned in IMO Model Course 1.40 “Use of Leadership and Managerial skills”.
