Security Awareness Training for all Seafarers
This course familiarises seafarers on how to recognize and respond to security threats while working onboard ships or in port areas. It is a mandatory course for all fresh seafarers joining ship as required by the IMO STCW Convention (Regulation A-VI/6, Section A-VI/6-1) and is an integral part of the Basic Safety Training (BST). This training is designed as per IMO Model Course 3.27 and covers the competence requirements on recognizing suspicious situations, responding to security threats and understanding security procedures to be followed on board ship.
Eligible Documents : Valid COC, Seaman’s discharge book, International Passport, 2 passport photos.

Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties
This 2-day course equips seafarers with the skills and knowledge required to carry out Designated Security Duties onboard ships. The program is mandatory for applying for an Indian CDC and is designed and delivered in full compliance with the latest STCW Convention and DG Shipping Guidelines. Ship Security Officer
In response to the growing threat of terrorism, new measures relating to the security of ships and port facilities have been adopted by the IMO. A New Chapter has been added to the SOLAS and there is a new Code called “The International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code”. All ships are to comply with the requirements of the ISPS Code as of 1st July 2004, and with STCW A-VI/5 as of 1st January 2008.
