Basic STCW Safety Training Courses


Elementary First Aid
Elementary First Aid provides basic care to someone who is injured or suddenly becomes ill. It helps keep the person safe until professional help arrives. This course trains participants to carry out medical emergency duties onboard ships. It is part of the Basic STCW Safety Training (BST) Course. For candidates holding an Indian CDC, this course can be taken individually. Designed and delivered in accordance with the latest STCW Convention.

Basic Fire Fighting Training
Basic fire-fighting training for seafarers is mandated by the STCW Convention (Table A-VI/1-2). This training, part of the STCW Basic Training, is also referenced in IMO Model Course 1.20. It ensures that seafarers can take appropriate safety measures and correctly use fire-fighting appliances.

Personal Survival Techniques
This course meets the mandatory requirements for seafarer familiarization, basic safety training, and survival instruction in accordance with Section A-VI/1 of the STCW Code. IMO Model Course 1.19 provides detailed guidance, including specific learning objectives and required training hours.

Personal Safety and Social
Responsibility
Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR) focuses on protecting yourself and others, particularly in maritime workplaces and at sea. The course provides basic safety training to help seafarers meet the mandatory requirements of Regulation VI/1 of the STCW Convention. It covers competence requirements outlined in Section A-VI/1-4 of the STCW Code (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, as amended).

Security Awareness Training for all
Seafarers
Security Awareness Training teaches seafarers how to recognize and respond to security threats while working onboard ships or in port areas. This 2-day course enables seafarers to undertake Designated Security Duties on ships. It is mandatory for Indian CDC application and is designed and delivered in accordance with the latest STCW Convention.
